The organization implements several international programs aimed at using football as a means of solving social problems. Hani Taljie confirmed at the session that the 2022 World Cup in the State of Qatar creates a positive image of the Arabs and their culture, heritage, traditions, art, and the football passion they shared with the whole world.
She explained that she started playing football at the age of seven in Palestine and faced challenges in her community to play women’s football and that problem is a thing of the past. Today, she is an employee of the International Football Association. (FIFA) to let everyone know to believe in their dreams that will change their lives forever.
Hani Taljie stated that in 2003 she started to form a women’s soccer team and two years later she participated in the first West Asian Championship, which is the third World Cup she attended as she went to Brazil, Russia and Qatar and she never expected to attend these tournaments and today she works in and participates in these global events.
And she confirmed that this version holds many surprises for Arab teams such as Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Morocco, as well as Japan, and gives them hope for the game that millions love after they beat or drew with teams with experience and a long history of international participation.
Michael Chopra, British footballer and Football for Peace Technical Ambassador, took part in the conversation, highlighting the role of football in bringing about peace and harmony among peoples, as well as the opportunity to bring about change in the world, explaining that the World Cup has helped to bring to the fore the idea that everything that can be achieved is possible in football, just like dreams and aspirations can be realized.
Notably, the Saudi House Interactive Zone has hosted thousands of fans since its opening last Sunday and introduces the culture, heritage and sport of Saudi Arabia through 10 pavilions and more than 21 events in addition to daily concerts. and folklore performances, during the entire period of the World Cup, which lasts until the next 18 December.
