A US senator called in a controversial tweet for murder of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the midst of the Russian war on Ukraine.
“Is there a Brutus in Russia? is there more Success of Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military? The only way it ends for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would make your country – and the world – a great service,” said U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham on Twitter, after speaking with FoxNews.
Claus von Stauffenberg was an officer in the German army who try to kill adolf hitler in July 1944.
Republican senator from South Carolina appealed to Russia people for “step up on the plate. »
“The only people who can fix they are the russians people. Easy to say, hard to do. Unless you want for live in darkness for the rest of your life, be isolated from the rest of the world in abject poverty, and live in darkness you need for step up on the plate,” he wrote.
The Russian War on Ukraine, which started on February 24, was met with international contempt, with the European Union, the United States and the United Kingdom, among others, are implementing financial punishments on Moscow.
According to United Nations figures, 227 civilians were killed and 525 injured in Ukraine since start of the war. However, the Ukrainian authorities have put the death toll at over 2,000.
Over 1 million people fled Ukraine to neighboring countriesaccording to the UN Refugee Agency.
