Chelsea and Brighton will kick off the tournament at Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philadelphia on July 22.
In turn, the Newcastle club, which ranks third in the English Premier League table, announced its participation in the summer tournament.
And the Newcastle club posted a tweet on their Twitter account saying: “The Maccabees are going to the United States this summer … Our team is going to the United States of America in July for the summer tournament.”
While a number of English Premier League clubs have completed the off-season in the United States, this is the first time the Premier League has hosted a tournament there.
The league stated that this was part of an “ongoing commitment to United States fans”.
