A military spokesman confirmed late Friday that a Russian ship carrying weapons to the strategically important Snake Island sank after being hit by Ukrainian missiles.
Earlier, on Friday, the Vasily Bek tug belonging to the Russian Black Sea Fleet was damaged by anti-ship missiles delivered to Ukraine by Denmark.
“Later it turned out that she sank,” said the military governor of Odessa, Maxim Marchenko, in a video message on his Telegram channel.
This assertion cannot be verified by independent experts and has not been commented on by the Russian side.
