Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ajman Police, was quoted by local newspapers as saying that the Operational Headquarters had been notified of the start of the fire at 3 am, so police patrols and civil defense units moved out from 3 am. centers to the accident site.
Support has also been requested from centers in neighboring Emirates, Dubai, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain to secure the site, in addition to national ambulances and the Union Electricity and Water Company.
Leakage and spread of oil contributed to the rapid ignition and the spread of fire to neighboring buildings.
The fire also ignited the outer facade of the tower on one side and affected a number of residential apartments.
