Amid a wave of criticism, US President Joe Biden has found no better way than food to send messages back to his opponents.
Biden has faced criticism of his economic and “Federal Reserve” policies, which he recently admitted could lead to a recession, but he has tried to soften the effects, sometimes saying “it will be very small” and other times through those the messages it sends to people through food.
Letters about tacos and ice cream
In recent hours, the President of the United States has appeared in a video of him eating “ice cream” in which he sends a message to his critics saying that “the American economy is very strong” in his words, which he delivered while biting into his mouth a piece of ice cream.
Last Thursday, the announcement was preceded by a meal of “tacos,” a staple of Mexican cuisine typically made with cornbread and a variety of toppings such as chicken, meat, seafood, and more.
And during a video clip that has racked up millions of views, the American president received a chicken taco dish, up to 50% off, as he is a public utility worker, at a Los Angeles restaurant that goes by the name of the food.
Biden’s bill was $16.45, but he was generous, giving the restaurant $60 to feed the next customer for free.
Perhaps he wanted to convey a message about the strength of the American economy and that his administration’s policy of supporting the people and friends of his country continues despite the criticism he faces.
The International Monetary Fund expected a third of the global economy to shrink by next year.
