Lebanese media reported today about the collapse of the new part of the northern side of the granary in the port of Beirut.
At least two bunkers collapsed in the port on August 4, and the remains of the huge bunkers began to collapse earlier this month.
Yesterday, a new part of the remnants of grain silos collapsed in the seaport of Beirut, which is called the “silent witness”, as a symbol of the extent of the destruction inflicted on the port as a result of a powerful explosion. occurred in the port on 4 August 2020, which resulted in the death of more than 200 people and about 6,000 injuries. Others have displaced hundreds of thousands of people.
This came after the fires continued due to environmental factors in the quantities of wheat and grain stored in silos for nearly 40 days, which caused two parts of the silos to collapse earlier, including 4 cylinders falling from the bins due to the celebration of the second anniversary of the port explosion.
The avalanche did not lead to injuries and did not cause heavy dusting, as was the case in the previous two cases.
