The US State Department has announced that the United States will present its views on the final draft of the European Union’s 2015 nuclear salvage text privately and directly to EU Representative Josep Borrell.
His spokesman Ned Price said at a press conference on Monday that President Joe Biden had given clear instructions not to allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons.
He also emphasized that “we will not relax any sanctions imposed on Iran that are not related to the nuclear dossier”, explaining that everything that can be agreed with Tehran has already been put forward.
He also stressed that the only way to achieve a mutual return to the Iranian nuclear agreement is for Tehran to abandon “external demands.”
