Wildlife Center in Düzce from Turkey shows sympathy for all animals

All wildlife needs a certain type of care, of those who are wounded, disabled Where just exhausted plain, sometimes wild animals need a main human. In Düzce and the surrounding provinces, this main is always there, ready to treat all animals at the rehabilitation center in Lake Efteni Wildlife Enhancement Area before releasing them back in their natural habitats.

Wild animals such as bears, deer, deer, vultures, eagles and lynxes that are injured, maimed or exhausted due to assorted of the reasons in the nature is taken to the rehabilitation center affiliated with the Directorate of Conservation of nature and Düzce National Parks, which was put into operation in 2011.

Mevlut Sanlı Şimsek, director of Düzce Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they use everything at their disposal at the rehabilitation center to keep the animals alive.

Şimşek said they treated animals such as bears, squirrels, foxes, jackals, deer, roe deer, hawks and hawks and released them. back in nature once they have recovered their health.

“We also provide services to our surrounding provinces. Since there are no rehabilitation centers in our provinces such as Sakarya, Kocaeli, Bolu and Zonguldak, they can send us. We mainly have support our province of Bulu.”

Şimşek said he released a lynx and a black vulture – or monk vulture – who had come to the center last year, back for nature after their treatment.

“Of them young the deer came to our center in 2021 we are currently to take care of their. We plan to release them in the nature like soon like May.”

“In 2021, 141 animals of 41 species came to our center. Seventy-one of were treated and released in nature. In 2022, 20 animals of 12 different species came to our center. Ten animals were treated and released in nature”, Şimşek said.

“(Also) we put foods such as wheat, hay, animal feed in the nature throughout the province so that wild animals do not go hungry in harsh winter conditions. In the 2021-2022 winter season, we put 15,850 kilograms (34,943 pounds) of food in the neighborhood of Plateau of Kardüz, Yedigöller and Topuk. We are continuing these activities.”

Simsek also warned citizens not to remove babies of wild animals from their habitats.

“The hunting season is slowly over. With the warming of the weatherwe are entering the breeding season of wild animals. During this period, animals should not to be disturbed. Also, when on see the puppies of wild animals in natureus should never touch them or take them,” he said.

“Our citizens bring them directly for us because they attract Warning. We can not treat These animals like theirs mother. Of course, we provide all support on can, but on can’t take care of them like a mother. When our fellow citizens see the puppies, they should leave the areaur immediately mother will come and pick their up.”

Şimşek said they are also working on poaching and added that they imposed administrative fines on 108 poachers in 2021 and 33 poachers in 2022.
