As a result of the leadership’s unrestricted support for sports, the Kingdom is gearing up this October and under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to host the largest sporting event in Saudi Arabia through the first Saudi Games, with more than 6,000 athletes and 2,000 technical and administrative leaders representing more than 200 clubs from different parts of the Kingdom, in addition to the category of persons, will participate under the flag of the Olympic and Paralympic Committees and will compete in 45 individual and team sports, including 5 games dedicated to Paralympic sports.

Tournament participants compete for prizes that are the highest in the history of the region and amount to more than 200 million rials. The winner of the gold medal in any game receives one million rials, silver – 300,000 rials, bronze – 100,000 rials. .

The course is the largest national sporting project and one of the most important comprehensive programs and initiatives stemming from the Kingdom Vision 2030 as it provided the opportunity for over 20,000 male and female athletes to participate in qualifying trials and trials.

In recent years, the Kingdom has hosted the largest auto race, the Dakar Rally, taking advantage of its nature suitable for this sport and adding to it a kind of excitement that has drawn the attention of the whole world to a rare geographical nature, along roads that cut through deserts and mountains. over a distance of more than 7600 km.

The Kingdom has also become a meeting place for the heads of international federations for consultations and exchanges, which is what Swiss Gianni Infantino, President of the International Football Association (FIFA), is fond of.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has extended the date of the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place at Jeddah, home of the world’s fastest street circuit, from 17 to 19 March 2023.

The third visit of the World Motorsport Summit to the Kingdom will be the second race on the Formula 1 World Championship calendar for 2023.

The Kingdom has continued to host a series of international championships in various races as the province of Al-Ula has hosted the “Extreme e Al-Ula” race, part of the Kingdom’s strong interest in the sports sector and clean energy, as well as looking to the future. through the “Vision of the Kingdom 2030” and took part in a two-day race with 18 men and women representing 9 international teams, this is the first race in the history of the “Extreme E” electric SUV series. where the German team (Rosberg X-Racing) consisting of the Swede Johan Kristofferson and his Australian colleague Molly Taylor won the race and took first place.

Achievements included not only holding but winning championships and continental podiums as the Saudi Arabia national team won the AFC U-23 Cup title for the first time in their history after beating Uzbekistan with two unanswered goals. , in the final match, which brought the two teams together in the capital Tashkent last June.

In July, the Saudi Arabia Under-20 team won the Arab Under-20 Cup by beating Algeria 2-1 at a tournament in the Arab Republic of Egypt. In jiu-jitsu, Saudi Arabian champion Faris Kashmiri won bronze at the Asian Championships, held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
