Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation CEO Sattam Al-Khazami tonight crowned world champion Yazid Al Raji with the Asir Rally title at the conclusion of the 2022 Saudi Arabian Toyota Championship, organized by the federation under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and with the support of the Asir Development Authority.
During the coronation ceremony held at Sama Abha Park, the union thanked HRH Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region, Chairman of the Regional Development Authority, for his support and follow-up to the championship, commending the concerted efforts of all sectors, who contributed to the success of the championship and its competitions, as well as congratulations to the winners in the various categories included in the tournament.
In the details of the competition, Al-Raji won the Asir Rally title, which was held for two days in the province of Turib and its centers in the Saudi Arabian Toyota Championship 2022 competition, with Miroslav Zapletal coming in second and driver Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri coming in third in category T1.
Driver Jaafar Al-Qahtani also won first place in the T2 category, Haylan Al-Subayi came in second and Ahmed Al-Shaqawi came in third, and in the T3 category Saleh Al-Saif took first place and Hamad Al-Harbi came in second. , and Dania Akil placed third, while Saeed Al Mouri placed first in the T4 category and Maha Al Hamali placed second in the same category.
For his part, champion Yazid Al-Raji said that the Asir rally, during which the riders went through very difficult stages, will contribute to the development and improvement of their skills, noting that the Asir rally is one of the most difficult rallies. in which he participated because of the rugged terrain they went through.
