Yemeni Defense Minister: ‘Legitimate Coalition’ Protects Global Navigation from Houthi Threats

Al-Daari emphasized the importance of putting pressure on the Iranian-backed Houthi militia “to abide by the terms of the UN truce and limit violations of it, as well as its continuous mobilization since it was announced.” Yemen in confronting these terrorist groups and building a lasting and sustainable peace.

Respect the terms of the truce

For his part, the French ambassador stressed that “the international community condemns these violations of the Houthis and calls for the observance of the terms of the truce in order to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.”

The Houthi militia has completed the implementation of a comprehensive electronic information surveillance project in all structures in the districts of Sana’a and departments and institutions of the kidnapped Yemeni state that are under its control.

The Yemeni news agency Khabar, citing local sources in Sana’a, reported that the Houthi militia, with the help of teams and technical engineers, including Lebanese and Iranian experts, had completed communications operations with a project called the Network, a comprehensive monitoring of electronic information. a project I worked on about two years ago.

She added: The police established the so-called “civil service” in all departments and departments of the stolen state institutions under the pretext of providing services to citizens and limiting financial and administrative corruption; But its real purpose is to impose certain procedures and forms, to collect information from civil service applicants in violation of the law, and to restrict all requests for licenses and transactions and link them electronically to a network process.

Intensification of negotiations under the auspices of the UN

The UN Security Council called on the Yemeni parties to intensify UN-sponsored talks to agree on an extended truce that could translate into a permanent ceasefire. The Houthis will “return to negotiations and immediately open the main roads of Taiz.”

He also condemned all attacks that threatened to break the truce, including recent attacks by the Houthis on Taiz, as well as a militia military parade in Hodeidah.

Council members stressed that there is no military solution to the crisis in Yemen, and that an expanded truce agreement will provide an opportunity to reach a comprehensive political settlement in accordance with the agreed terms of reference.
