Protests against the Iranian regime continue after the killing of Mahsa Amini by police for the sixth day in a row, with the death toll rising to ten. Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadas sources said two people were killed in Garmasar, south of Tehran, as a result of renewed protests.
Dozens of major Iranian cities such as Tehran, Tabriz, Mashhad and Hamedan, in addition to Kurdish cities, rebelled, and tens of thousands of Iranians took to the streets, shouting against the regime and demanding its departure.
Videos widely circulated on social media show women among the protesters taking off headscarves and throwing them into a fire that lit the road, while others cut their hair symbolically short. “No veil, no turban, but freedom and equality,” protesters chanted in Tehran.
Demonstrations took place in several cities, especially in northern Iran, on Wednesday night for the fifth consecutive night, and clashes were reported by activists in cities such as Urmia and Sardasht. Iranian demonstrators also burned the largest image of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Iran and also burned the Iranian flag while chanting anti-regime slogans.
The protests began on Wednesday with demonstrations at Iranian universities such as Al-Zahra University in Tehran and Tabriz University in the north of the country.

Public anger erupted in the streets after authorities announced on Friday the death of a 22-year-old woman from Kurdistan Region in northwest Iran, who was arrested September 13 in Tehran under the pretext of wearing “obscene clothing.” .
Activists claim that Mahsa, whose Kurdish name is Zina, received a blow to the head during her detention, which is denied by the Iranian authorities, who announced an investigation into the incident.
