Four people died in Mozambique as a result of floods that hit parts of the country. The National Institute for Disaster Management said that the number of people affected by flooding in Mozambique rose to 37 thousand people, indicating that 13 thousand people were saved from drowning in water.
Institute head Louise Mickey said 18,000 people have been placed in reception centers.
Torrential rains since last Wednesday have flooded thousands of homes around the capital Maputo, as well as flooding many schools and health facilities.
