The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Yemen, who oversees the Saudi program for the development and reconstruction of Yemen, Muhammad bin Saeed Al Jaber met yesterday in Riyadh with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Richard Oppenheim.
During the meeting, the British Ambassador praised the Kingdom’s efforts in Yemen and the great support it is providing, most recently with the announcement of a $3 billion commitment by the Kingdom and the UAE to support the Yemeni economy.
He also reaffirmed the support of the Presidential Leadership Council, led by HE President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, and discussed joint efforts to ensure the success of the UN-sponsored truce to achieve a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in Yemen. launching a political process, stressing the importance of the early opening of the Taiz checkpoints by the Houthis and the transfer of proceeds to the Central Bank of Yemen to pay the wages of the civilian population.
