Adnan Al-Moaibed confirmed that his candidacy for Al-Ittifaq Club President will be ready when the Sports Ministry officially opens the door for presidential nomination and club membership. Al-Madina’s statement to give any details regarding his candidacy at this time, indicating that he must wait for the announcement. An official from the Ministry of Sports convened a General Assembly of the agreement and opened the door for the candidacy.
The presidency of the current management of the Al-Ettifak club, led by Khaled Al-Dabel, ends at the end of the current season.
Al Moaybed indicated to Al Madina that his file is ready and the board members are ready, pointing out that there are plans and programs in preparation from now to be ready, but we are just waiting for the nomination doors to open for the President.
Al-Moaybed refused to name his supporters among the participants in the agreement, whether it be the golden president of the Eastern Club, Abdulaziz Al-Dosari, or someone else.
It is worth noting that Adnan Al-Moaibed served as treasurer during the presidency of Abdulaziz Al-Dosari, and was also a member of the Saudi Arabian Football Association and its official representative during the presidency of Ahmed Eid.
Al-Moaybed believes he now has the opportunity to lead the club after stepping back from his official job at the port of Dammam.
Hatem Al-Mishal, vice-president under the current agreement, is considered Al-Moaybed’s biggest rival for the presidency, as he enjoys strong support from the club’s honorary members.
