The Beja Council in eastern Sudan confirmed that it does not recognize the government of Khartoum or any other central body, institution or administration that appropriates the resources, wealth and freedoms of nature until an agreement is reached between the authorities of the region and the government. Sudan, the region’s legislature based on customary law, and that the Sovereign Self-Determination Committee with its specialized committees is the provisional executive ministerial government of the region, and that customary land ownership is the basis of land tenure in the region until such time as a permanent deliberative body is established.
In a statement broadcast by the Al-Arabiya channel, the council referred to the right of the region’s provisional authority to create several self-government bodies to manage, administer and manage affairs, and to create regular armed forces to protect people and rights. and play the role of security and police in the region.
The Beja Supreme Council has refused to participate in any settlement or government that takes place until the path of the trampled foreign east is canceled and before the Beja reaches a constitutional political agreement to be signed with the government of Sudan in a separate negotiating forum of national consensus.
