Brazil flood death toll rises to 91

The death toll from floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains in Brazil’s northeast has risen to at least 91. Brazil’s Civil Defense reported today that 26 people are missing in the state of Pernambuco, about 5,000 have taken refuge in reception centers and a state of emergency has been declared in 14 municipalities around the coastal city of Recife.
