The burning of the “fist of the revolution” in the center of the Lebanese capital Beirut made a splash a day after the results of the parliamentary elections and the loss of some lists and parties.
Pioneers of social media and news pages in Lebanon have circulated videos and photos of the burning of the fist, which has been repeatedly burned and destroyed since the 2019 protests, dubbed the October 17 revolution.
One account commented: “The hater burned the fist of the revolution in the outer arena … but the representatives of the revolution stood inside … in a very expressive way called: There is no voice louder than the voice of democracy.” while another report said: “The burning of the fist of the revolution in the Martyrs’ Square at this time … the results of the 2022 elections in Lebanon drove the shabiha in power crazy … this is a petty and cowardly act, not with one foot nor the other.” .. the violation was made with two changes that are not related to the corrupt government, which is over 30 years old.
