Today, China successfully launched a new test satellite into space from the Jiuquan Space Center in the country’s northwest.
China’s Xinhua News Agency said the satellite was launched by a carrier rocket (Kuaizhou-11 Y2) at 9:15 Beijing time and reached its planned orbit, indicating that the satellite is intended to test a high-frequency data exchange system. (VDES).
The satellite will be used primarily for communications testing and validation of the High Frequency Data Exchange System (VDES) and Automatic Identification System (AIS) core technologies.
