Stations of the National Seismological Network of Egypt recorded an earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale north of the Egyptian city of Rafah. The head of the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, Dr. A, 552 km north of Rafah, noting that the institute received reports of what was felt earthquake, but there were no reports of loss of life or property.
