Various Saudi teams continue to make their mark on the continent, having qualified the Greens U-20s for the Asian Cup final in Uzbekistan in 2023. It is noteworthy that the results of the Uzbekistan national team are not taken into account in the final table for determining the finalists, since they received a direct qualification card as the host country. Without counting the results of the national team of Uzbekistan, our team led the group standings with 9 points in three matches, against 6 for China and 3 for Myanmar, and the balance of the Maldives remained without points. The U-20 team won the qualification for the final from the group, while the Chinese team will have to determine the top five runners-up teams. In the first round of the group competition, China won 3:1 over Myanmar and Uzbekistan 7:0 over the Maldives, and in the second round Al-Akhdar defeated the Maldives 11:0 and Uzbekistan over Myanmar 3:0 , and in the third round, Uzbekistan defeated Saudi Arabia with a score of 2:1, China beat the Maldives with a score of 5:0, and in the fourth round, Saudi Arabia beat Myanmar with a score of 5:0, and Uzbekistan beat China with a score of 2:1. The team finishing first in each group, along with the top five teams finishing second in ten groups, are eligible to join hosts Uzbekistan.
