After the Iranian authorities announced the dissolution of the vice police and the suspension of the so-called “morality patrols”, Iranian parliamentarian and member of the parliamentary committee on culture Hussein Jalali announced that the government was considering freezing bank accounts. for women without a veil.

He added that the decision was made in lieu of the publication of literary periodicals known as Guidance Periodicals, which were announced to be discontinued by an Iranian prosecutor a few days ago.

Jalali also signaled that with the end of the protests, these cases would be resolved within a week or two, meaning that the veil would be back on women’s heads, as he put it.

He continued that the hijab and chastity plan would be implemented within the next two weeks, provided that the cost of not wearing the hijab was increased.

Jalali believed that Hadda would be an alternative program for the Iranian government’s literary periodicals, arguing that the purpose of the style change is so that unveiled women can be reminded through text messages that they do not observe the hijab and ask them to respect the law.

He then continued, “After a reminder, we can proceed to the warning phase, then, in the third phase, the bank account for women without a veil can be closed.”

I also know that the veil and chastity project will not be withdrawn, because this withdrawal means the retreat of the Islamic Republic, as he put it.

This announcement coincided with the Iranian prosecutor’s vague statement about the “suspension of the Art Magazine”, where Ali Khan Mohammadi, a spokesman for the headquarters for the promotion of virtue and the prevention of vice, stated in a vague statement that the Mission of the Moral and Welfare Patrols (Art Magazine) was “completed” . However, at the same time, he stressed the need for newer, more recent and more accurate methods “in regard to ‘chastity and veiling’,” he claims.
