Islamic Cooperation Secretary: We must confront unemployment, extremism and immigration

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, called for addressing the problems facing the youth of the Organization’s member states, especially in connection with high unemployment and the risk of spreading the phenomenon of extremism and the problem of displacement, asylum and illegal immigration, through the development of joint policies, strategies and action plans to meet the needs of young people, provide opportunities and advance Their role in development is to improve the economic and social situation, build and strengthen peace dialogue, combat extremism and terrorism.

This is stated in the speech of the Secretary General before the fifth session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
