“Newsweek” quoting US officials: Kiev will fall in 96 hours

US “Newsweek” quoting 3 US officials, Ukraine’s capital Kiev’in reported that it will drop in the coming days, and then its defensive capabilities will be largely rendered ineffective.

Officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Russian forces would undermine the country’s ability to confront Ukraine by encircling Ukrainian forces and forcing them to surrender within 96 hours, according to the newspaper.

On the morning of Thursday, February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in his speech to the Russian people that he had decided to launch a special military operation in Donbass.
President of Russia, “The situation requires us to take decisive and urgent measures. The Donetsk People’s Republic appealed to Russia for help. In this context, Article 51 of the United Nations Convention, the approval of the 7th Federation Council and friendship agreements ratified by the Parliament. and decided to conduct a special military operation in accordance with mutual assistance with the republics of Lugansk and Donetsk.”
President Putin noted that Russia’s plans do not include an invasion of Ukraine, but Moscow will endeavor to disarm it.
