On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today attended the inauguration ceremony of Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. at a ceremony held at the Adam Uday International Airport in the capital of Mogadishu. He met with His Excellency the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Highness the Minister for Foreign Affairs, who conveyed to him the congratulations and greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister Minister and Minister of Defense – God bless them – to His Excellency. I wish him success and prosperity, and Somalia and its people – further progress and prosperity. His Excellency conveyed his greetings and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness the Crown Prince, and to the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His Highness the Minister for Foreign Affairs confirmed to His Excellency the desire of the Kingdom to continue to work to strengthen the brotherly and friendly relations between the two fraternal countries and peoples, and to work together to strengthen and expand their horizons.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Somalia, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Maulid, and the Director General of His Highness’s Office of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud.
