The Organization of Islamic Cooperation welcomed the statement by UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg on an agreement to extend the current truce in Yemen for two months.
The organization commended the efforts of the Special Representative, hoping that the truce will be fully implemented and secured, which will help create the conditions for a sustainable political solution to the conflict in Yemen in response to the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation reiterated its support for Yemen to alleviate the suffering of its people and realize their aspirations for security, peace, stability and development.
