Moscow announced on Wednesday it was expelling 34 “members of French diplomatic missions” in response to a similar move that included the expulsion of Russian diplomats from France as part of a joint European action to counter Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine.
“34 employees of the French diplomatic missions in Russia have been declared persona non grata,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, adding that they have two weeks to leave the country.
