The work of the meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science “ALECSO” ended today in the capital of Tunisia with the approval of the results of the meeting of Al-Ula, the approval of the budget of the organization and the approval of appointments.
The Council, headed by the Representative of the Kingdom, Chairman of the Executive Board of ALECSO Hani bin Mokbel Al Mokbel, approved at its 117th session the draft budget and program for the financial cycle 2023-2024. AD, financial regulation on the organization and formation of the Financial Supervision for auditing the organization’s accounts for the financial cycle 2023-2024. AD, as well as the appointment of the Director of the Department of Education as the Director of the Department of Science and Scientific Research.
The meeting endorsed the steps taken by the Council to implement the results of its previous session held in El Oul last January, and endorsed the launch of a new program that provides advisory services and training programs to public sector entities in exchange for fees and hosting a forum for donors and partners to increase funding for the organization’s projects and programs at the end of 2023 AD, and his endorsement of the preparation of a quality partnership strategy to be presented at the next Board meeting for confirmation.
The Executive Board approved the preparation of a media and marketing strategy for the organization, which will be submitted for approval at the next board meeting. The strategy aims to strengthen the positive image of the organization and its programs, as well as to organize the work of the media. and a marketing forum for ALECSO and national committees to take place in late 2022 AD and its approval of the return of the organization’s awards suspended five years ago and a feasibility study for currently approved awards.
The Council approved the modified internal system of the Executive Council, which was proposed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and chaired its committee, as well as the program plan of the organization for 2023-2024, which included 315 programs in the field of education. , culture, science and scientific research, information and communication, which will be carried out through the Arab countries directly and through the organization itself.
The meeting also discussed the presentation of the draft Arab plan for education in emergencies and crises in its final form at the meeting of the General Conference after the Executive Board at its last session in Al-Ula formed a committee of 6 Arab countries. review the draft plan and the final version of the draft.
At the meeting of the Executive Board, the report of the Director General of ALECSO on the implementation of the programs of the organization and activities outside the programs for 2021 was considered.
