The Saudi Sports Federation for All today signed a memorandum of understanding with its partner, the UAE Sports Federation for All, aimed at strengthening aspects of cooperation in promoting the dissemination of sports culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and launching community sports initiatives and programs.
The Memorandum was signed on behalf of Saudi Arabia by HRH Prince Khalid bin Al Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi Federation of Sports for All, and on behalf of the UAE, by President of the Federation of Sports for All Emirates Salem bin Yousef Al Qusayr in the presence of the UAE Ambassador in Kingdom of Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.
This agreement was reached on the sidelines of the Waed Forum hosted today by the Ministry of Sports in Riyadh and falls under the initiative of the Human Development Committee coming from the Saudi Emirates Coordinating Council, which was hosted today by the Ministry of Sports.
The Memorandum of Understanding provided for the strengthening of a cooperation framework between the two parties to implement programs and activities that help spread the culture of sports, with the aim of increasing the percentage of sports and activities on a regular basis and raising awareness of sports in society. . The areas of joint cooperation include: consulting, program implementation, exchange of joint research in the field of public sports, provision of necessary services to support the implementation of joint projects, holding scientific forums and joint seminars in the field of public sports, work on sports programs of common interest.
For his part, His Highness the President of the Saudi Arabian Federation of Sports for All expressed his joy at the signing of this agreement, which will expand the scope of cooperation with the UAE through the Federation of Sports for all the UAE, where both organizations can benefit. from their experience and expand opportunities for joint cooperation and knowledge sharing, and benefit from knowledge and experience in the field of sports, move forward in launching sporting events of the best standards and quality, and explore more collaborative sports and health opportunities. For his part, the President of the Federation of Sports for All Emirates praised the numerous achievements of the Saudi Sports Federation for All that have been achieved in a short period, perhaps the most outstanding of which is the launch of various sports programs and physical exercises. which are unmatched in the Kingdom. Therefore, the UAE Federation of Sports for All is committed to working with its counterpart in the Kingdom to promote and develop a sports culture that will help increase the level of community participation in sports. an activity that represents a common goal between two federalists.
It should be noted that this agreement represents a step in the direction of the Saudi Sport for All Federation to share its experience and knowledge in the Emirates, as both federations seek to increase community participation in sports events and programs, which contributes to a healthy society.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE Federation of Sports for All is one of the federation’s most notable global events and comes after its participation in the 27th Tavisa International Sports for All Conference in Slovenia, as well as participation in international knowledge sharing initiatives and experiences, such as participating in the Expo 2020 on International Women’s Day titled “Women in Sports”, also working closely with all sectors in the Kingdom to activate parks, places and public squares; To capitalize on this when launching community sports programs, the Saudi Federation of Sports for All recently opened the first sports facility in Dammam, the Sports for All Dome. participation in physical activity in the Kingdom up to 40% by providing world-class resources, experience and equipment.
