Colombian airline Avianca said on Saturday that two bodies were found in the plane’s landing gear after it landed in Bogotá.
Flight AV116 landed at Bogotá’s Eldorado Airport on Friday evening after taking off earlier in the day from Santiago, Chile’s capital.
Radio Karakul reported that two victims, according to it men, were found in the right and left wheels under the aircraft.
The radio cited official figures that the bodies appeared to have been in the aircraft’s undercarriage for several days.
The aircraft last underwent maintenance on December 27, 2022. The aircraft was in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from 31 December to 3 January.
