United Nations: (1.7) million malaria cases in (10) months in Sudan

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Sudan (OCHA) reported that more than 1.7 million cases of malaria were reported in Sudan between January and early October, exceeding the epidemic threshold in 12 states, OCHA reports, citing the Sudanese Ministry of Health. 2,708 cases of suspected measles have been reported, including 1,038 confirmed cases, 1,068 cases of dengue fever, including eight reported deaths, and cases are still being reported in 28 locations in eight states.
