An Egyptian court ruled that documents be handed over to the third and main defendant out of six defendants in the case of putting drugs in the bags of 3 pilgrims in the Eastern Province to the Mufti. Details of the incident date back to April 18, 2019, when the Sharqia Security Directorate’s security services were notified that a report had come in from: “Sabah Attia, 70, Faika Abdel Aziz, 63, and Nabawiya Abdel Aziz, 60”, accusing several people in that they put a certain amount of drugs in their travel bags for the pilgrimage. It was established that the defendants formed a gang, the purpose of which was to export the drugs in question, placing narcotic substances in the bags of three victims, and, referring to the investigating authorities, decided to transfer the case materials to the Zagazigsky Criminal Court.
